Polish American Congress The Voice of a Million Americans of Polish Heritage in the Garden State ================================================================== Monument History Monument - Design
Dear Compatriots,
Several years ago our first steps towards realisation of the project of raising The Christ’s The King Monument in Homeland has begun. However our path was a bit windy it has taken the straight shape in the year 2000, successively aiming at the point. This path has led us to Tarnów, to The St. Martin’s Hill, where in a few years Jesus Christ will be looking from. In His sculptural personage He will be looking at the city, the region, Poland, the whole world – everywhere Poles live. He will invite us to His place and unite us together. In the shadow of Christ’s arms there will raise the place where Poles from every corner will be able to meet each other to discuss, to exchange experiences, to sum the output. We are the generation that has got a chance to accent kind of symbol in a place of birth and to hand it down to posterity generations. We invite Compatriots from all over the world – join the collective work of building The Christ’s The King World Saviour Monument and The Polonia Unity Centre on the homeland soil. Let the new millennium mark in our consciousness with the sign of Jesus Christ.
In the name of initiators and all engaged in the raising Adam Ocytko The President of Polish Clubs Union in Chicago Zofia Oskwarek The Vice President of Polish Clubs Union
